The museum tells the history of life, geology and mineralogy in Upper Franconia during the past 500 million years. Riddles, games and adjusted for children information make this place particularly interesting for the youngest visitors. The greatest attractions are the life-size dinosaurs in the back yard.

The Richard Wagner Museum is located in his house called "Wahnfried”. The museum pieces tell the story of the composer's life and work, as well as the history of the Wagner's Festival.

Due to upcoming renovation and remodeling of the Richard Wagner Museum the house Wahnfried is actually completely closed.
