Arrival in Bayreuth until noon and check in at the hotel. Then you experience the city tour "In the footsteps of Richard Wagner," Wahnfried and the grave of Richard and Cosima contains. Highlight of the day is a visit to the Festival Hall, including the unique orchestra pit. * Dinner.
Full day excursion to Nuremberg (takes one hour) and visit of the Germanic National Museum, the largest cultural history museum in Central Europe. The museum houses unique art treasures, including the original score of Wagner's opera "The Mastersingers of Nuremberg". Lunch in a restaurant and eat a typical Nuremberg Bratwurst. Afternoon city tour to original locations Albrecht Dürer and the Meistersinger by Richard Wagner: Durer House, St. Catherine's Ruin, St. Martha, St. Clare, and the festival grounds of the Meistersinger, today Hallerwiese.
After breakfast, drive to the Hermitage, the unique garden art plant Margravine Wilhelmine. This park and palace complex combines elements of Baroque garden art with English landscape architecture and runs through this unique visitors under its spell. 1876, the opening of the Richard Wagner Festival resided King Ludwig II in the Old Palace of the Hermitage.
Tip: King Ludwig II view to the Festspielhaus still exists today.
